Do not forget you can also buy your loved ones gift vouchers from one of the above leading supermarkets in Kenya.  This would enable them buy things of their choice.  No need to carry money around if you can get them a gift voucher.  You can add this to their main shopping or just give it as a shopping voucher to do as they wish.  A Gift Voucher can be kept till your loved one is ready to do their shopping.  But make sure they have a named supermarket where they can shop.   A gift voucher cannot be redeemed for cash and it can only be used in the Supermarket. You also have the option of just buying a Gift Voucher and the recipient can do their own shopping.

You could buy gift Vouchers of different denominations e.g. shs.Nakumatt Voucher for Shs.500/-,   Tuskys Voucher for Shs.1,500/, shs. Nakumatt Voucher for Shs.2,000/- , etc.  Just combine with your shopping and show the total amount you wish to spend on the Vouchers.
